Loggers Swept At Willamette

SALEM, Ore. – The Puget Sound men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to Willamette on Friday. The Loggers dropped a handful of tight matches during the sweep.

After Willamette wins at #2 and #3 doubles, Ben Miller and Michael Cutter pushed the #1 match to the brink. Miller and Cutter challenged Garrett Vince and Devin Abney but eventually fell 9-7 in a tough match.

Miller dropped the #1 singles match 6-0, 6-1 and Cutter fell 6-3, 6-3 at #2 singles. George Murphy once again challenged Vincent at #3 singles but fell 6-3, 7-6 (7-3). John Stevens fell in straight sets but Abe Noyes lost hard-fought three-set match 5-1, 5-7, 1-0 (12-10) at #5. Michael Tieu's 6-0, 6-2 loss completed the sweep.

The Loggers head to Linfield tomorrow for another NWC match at 11 a.m.
