Peterson Wins At Singles and Doubles But Loggers Fall

PORTLAND, Ore. – Jake Peterson won in singles and doubles for the Puget Sound men's tennis team but the Loggers fell 6-3 at Lewis & Clark. Peterson won at No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles.

Peterson teamed up with Daniel Deuel at No. 2 doubles to defeat Carter Taylor-Gee and Scott Monismith 8-6. However, the Pioneers won the two other doubles points to take the 2-1 lead.

Peterson defeated Ryotaro Tokura in the No. 5 singles match 6-2, 6-2 for another Logger point. Graham Baker took his first win of the season in the No. 2 match defeating Taylor-Gee in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

Kevin Ross took the 6-2, 6-0 win over Michael Cutter in the No. 1 match. Daniel Hahm defeated Deuel 7-5, 6-3 at No. 3 and Monismith won 6-0, 7-5 at No. 4. Cole Pfeiffer defeated John Stevens 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6.

The Loggers stay on the road tomorrow and head over to Willamette.
