Men's tennis drops close battle against Willamette, 5-4

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's tennis team battled Willamette down to the very last match, but the Loggers came up short against the Bearcats on Sunday, 5-4.

Puget Sound won three singles matches on the day. Joe McRoberts was triumphant at No 1 singles (6-3, 6-3), and Jacob Kompolt won the No. 6 singles bout (6-2, 6-3).  Despite losing the first set, 6-4, Colton wright rallied to win the next two (6-4, 6-4), in No. 3 singles.

McRoberts and Andrew Struzenberg teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles contest, 8-6.

The Loggers head across Tacoma to face Pacific Lutheran on Sunday, April 12, at 10:30 a.m.
