Chao, Richards lead Loggers to first win of the season

LA HABRA, California – The Puget Sound women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season with a 5-4 victory over Hope International on Thursday.

Elizabeth Chao and Kyla Richards won both of their respective singles and doubles matches. Chao was triumphant at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-4. She teamed up with Nicole Bouche for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.

Richards and Tamara Runnicles outlasted the Royals in No. 3 doubles, 9-7. Richards won her No. 4 singles match, 6-1, 6-2. Claire Fitzgerald was also victorious at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-1.

The Loggers have two matches on Saturday, March 19. The take on Principia at 8 a.m., and Caltech at 2 p.m.
