TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's tennis team eased past crosstown rival Pacific Lutheran, 8-1, at home on Saturday afternoon. The Logger men, however, lost to the Lutes, 6-3, on the road.

Lisa Owen won at No. 1 singles, 7-6, 6-2. She and Nicole Bouche teamed up to win No. 1 doubles, 8-6. Elizabeth Chao won at No. 3 singles (6-3, 6-3), and Tressa Bild won her match at No. 6 singles (7-6, 6-1). Those two Loggers teamed up to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-5.
Bridget Myers and Barclay Fagg (No. 3 doubles) completed the doubles sweep for the Loggers by winning, 8-1.
On the men's side, Chris Severt won at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-1. Chet Selis also earned a singles victory (No. 5), 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (11-9). Yuwang Ha earned the third victory for Puget Sound, playing at No. 6 singles (7-6, 1-6, 1-0 (10-7)).
The men's tennis team hosts Willamette on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m.
