Women's tennis wins its second consecutive NWC match

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's tennis team won its second consecutive Northwest Conference match with a 9-0 win at Willamette on Sunday. The men's team lost at home to Willamette, 8-1.

Lisa Owen continued to roll at No. 1 singles, picking up a victory in the top spot (7-5, 6-4). She and Nicole Bouche teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Bouche also won at No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-0).

Elizabeth Chao and Tessa Bild won at No. 2 singles for the second straight day, posting an 8-2 win. Chao won at No. 3 singles (6-3, 6-1), while Bild was victorious at No. 6 singles (6-4, 6-1). Barclay Fagg and Bridget Myers were victorious at No. 3 doubles, 8-2. Myers blanked her counterpart at No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-0), and Fagg was at No. 5 singles (6-4, 6-1).

Chet Selis earned the lone Logger win in a battle at No. 5 singles (6-2, 2-6, 13-11). All three Puget Sound doubles teams lost by an 8-6 margin.
