TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's tennis team improved its overall record to 6-5 (4-4 Northwest Conference) with a 9-0 home win over Willamette on Saturday. It is the second time this season the Loggers beat the Bearcats by a 9-0 margin.
Results
Barclay Fagg won handedly at No. 5 singles (6-0, 6-0). She and Tressa Bild teamed up for an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles. Elizabeth Chao and Bridget Myers also won their doubles match, 8-0, in the No. 2 slot.
Nicole Bouche and Lisa Owen were victorious for the third consecutive match at No. 1 doubles, 8-6. Bouche won at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0), while Owen won at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-3).
Chao earned a win at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-0), while Myers won at No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-3). Tamara Runnicles capped off the triumphant day with a win at No. 6 singles (6-2, 6-2).
The Loggers next host Whitworth on March 19 at 10 a.m.
