TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's tennis teams both lost to Whitworth on Sunday. The men fell at home, 8-1, while the women lost, 9-0, in Spokane, Washington.
Joe McRoberts picked a win at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-3. Riley Inn had a tough fight at No. 2 doubles. He won the second set, 6-2, but ultimately lost in three sets.
On the women's side, Lisa Owen suffered a tough-luck loss at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 7-5. She and Nicole Bouche teamed for a close battle at No. 1 doubles, but lost, 8-6.
The Logger women next play at NCAA D-I Seattle on Wednesday, April 12, and the men play there April 13.
