Women's tennis wins third consecutive match

FOREST GROVE, Oregon – Although Nicole Bouche's streak came to an end, the Puget Sound women's tennis team pushed its win streak to three matches with a 6-3 victory at Pacific Sunday. The Logger men lost at home against the Boxers, 9-0.

Entering Sunday's contest, Bouche had lost neither a singles nor doubles match against an NCAA D-III opponent. She was victorious at No. 1 singles (4-6, 6-2, 6-1) at Pacific, but lost at No. 1 doubles with Bridget Myers (8-4).

Myers won at No. 2 singles (7-6, 6-3), and Barclay Fagg won at No. 3 singles (4-6, 6-2, 6-2). Alexis Choy picked up a two-set victory in singles play, taking the No. 6 slot (7-6, 6-4).

Fagg and Lia Van Steeter won at No. 2 doubles (8-5), while Avery Honaker and Choy won at No. 3 doubles (8-4).

In men's competition, Riley Inn was nearly victorious at No. 1 singles. He won the first set, 6-4, but lost the second, 0-6. The third and decisive set was a battle that was won by the Boxers' counterpart, 10-8.

The Logger tennis teams travel to California, where they will play against Occidental (March 20), Cal Lutheran (March 21), and Whittier (March 23).
