TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's tennis team earned a victory at No. 2 doubles, but the Loggers lost to Pacific Lutheran, 8-1, in the first match of the 2020 season. It was a non-conference contests in the Tennis Pavilion.
Aiden Velasco and Graham Byron outlasted their PLU counterparts, 8-6, at No. 2 doubles.
In singles competition, Lowell Hutton competed hard through three sets but came up short (6-2, 4-6, 10-2).
The Loggers have a couple of weeks until they host Whitworth, Feb. 29, for the first NWC matches of the season.
