TACOMA, Washington – Lisa Owen and Barclay Fagg both won their respective singles matches, but the Puget Sound women's tennis team lost to Whitworth, 7-2, in the Tennis Pavilion Sunday.
After dropping the first set, Owen regrouped for a three-set victory (5-7, 6-4, 7-5) at No. 1 singles. Fagg needed just two sets to win at No. 3 singles (7-5, 6-2).
Whitworth won all three doubles matches, including 8-5 decisions in the top two courts.
The Logger women and men next have non-conference matches at home against Otterbein, Thursday, March 5.
