Men's tennis wins doubles round, but Loggers ultimately fall to PLU

TACOMA, Washington – The evening began with the Loggers winning the doubles round, but the Puget Sound men's tennis team ultimately lost to Pacific Lutheran, 6-3, in the Tennis Pavilion Thursday night.

Puget Sound's 2021 season began by winning two out of three doubles matches. Nicholas Pulido and Levi Buck teamed up to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-6. Julian Giomi and Paul Wallace were partnered at No. 3 doubles where they won by a score of 8-4.

The Loggers, however, managed just one win in singles competition. It belonged to Giomi, who topped his No. 3 singles counterpart, 8-4.

The Logger men next compete in Portland against Lewis & Clark, March 6. The Puget Sound women host the Pioneers that same day.
