Women's tennis wins season finale at Willamette, 8-0

TACOMA, Washington - The Puget Sound women's tennis team has been battling all season for its first win of 2021, and the Loggers captured it in the season finale. Puget Sound dominated at Willamette, 8-0, Sunday afternoon. Rainy weather shortened the outdoor competition to eight matches. 

Scores

Four Loggers won their respective singles matches in two sets. Andie Machida lost just one point at No. 1 singles. Lia Van Steeter won both sets at No. 2 singles by identical 6-3 scores. 

Zoe Love lost the first set at No. 3 singles, but she fought back to win the next two. Marissa Perez won at No. 4 singles (6-4, 7-5), and Tatyana Cox won at No. 6 singles (6-4, 6-0). 

All three doubles matches were decided by 8-2 finals.
