Megan Campbell was in command after the first two frames, allowing just one unearned run to score in the sixth. She struck out eight Pios in seven innings of work.
The Loggers scored both their runs on a double from Amy Schmeckpeper in the bottom of the sixth. Chelsea Lindroth scored from second and Olivia Turner motored home from first to slice into the lead.
However, Madison Hollenbeck didn't allow anything else across to pick up her sixth win in the circle.
Game 2 – L, 3-11 (5 inns.)
Hannah Dal Pra had three more RBIs and the Pios hit three long balls to secure the twinbill sweep in the late game. Dal Pra, Jet'aime Mullins and Natalie Rose all hit homers in the contest.
The Pios did all their damage in two innings with six runs coming across in the first and five runs put up on the board in the fourth.
The Loggers broke their scoring silence in the fourth with a run. Marissa Jeffers doubled to start things off and Lisa Colombo singled to put runners on the corners. A double steal brought home Jeffers.
Two more runs came across in the fifth as Amy Schmeckpeper and Jenica Holt both doubled to start the inning. Holt's double was her second of the game and scored Schmeckpeper. A Jeffers groundout later scored Holt but the rally was shut down before the Loggers could get another run to avoid the run-rule.
The Loggers are back home next weekend to take on Willamette and Linfield. Saturday's doubleheader with Pacific will also be rescheduled but no makeup date has been decided as of today.
