Softball drops two at Lewis & Clark

PORTLAND, Oregon – The Puget Sound softball team dropped a pair of games at Northwest Conference rival Lewis & Clark on Sunday, 8-2 and 8-1.

Jessica Gott remained hot in the first game, hitting 3-for-4 with a run scored. She finished the weekend as the Loggers' leading hitter with a .381 average.

Kristi Nagamine scored an unearned run in the fifth inning to put the Loggers on the board, 5-1. Puget Sound got one more run in the seventh when Marissa Jeffers' single scored Gott.

Bailee Larson's single to score Lisa Colombo in the sixth inning accounted for the Loggers' only run in the second game.

Puget Sound returns home on Saturday, March 14, to host Willamette for a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m.
