Lacrosse falls to Vikings

TACOMA, Washington – The University of Puget Sound lacrosse team lost, 14-0, in non-conference play to Berry on Saturday afternoon.

Despite gaining control of the draw more often (9-6), the Loggers (1-4) were unable to take advantage by putting the ball in the net. The Vikings (5-3) led, 9-0, at halftime, outshooting Puget Sound, 11-4. Berry was a perfect 6-for-6 on clears in the second half, and added five goals in the period.

Goalkeeper Leah Stromberg (1-4) made two saves. Gracie Phillips led the Loggers with two shots, both on goal. Andriana Cunningham and Elena Becker each picked up three ground balls, while Hailey Shoemaker, Callie Holgate, and Becker each caused two turnovers.

Puget Sound will next host Pacific on Sunday, March 13. The game is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. on East Field.
