Box Score

FOREST GROVE, OregonIzzy Amaya and Ella Frazer scored three goals, each, as the Puget Sound lacrosse team earned its first win of the season, 11-10, at Pacific Saturday night.

The Boxers (0-3, 0-5 NWC) opened the game with a 4-0 lead, and a comeback bid appeared daunting for the Loggers (1-2, 1-2 NWC). Frazer put Puget Sound on the board with an unassisted goal with 15:12 on the clock, and Amaya followed with consecutive goals to cut the deficit to 4-3.

Pacific netted two more goals before halftime to carry a 6-3 lead into the break.

Frazer and Maya Ullrich-Carter opened the second half with back-to-back goals, making it a one-goal game again. Ali Walker scored an equalizing goal, 7-7, with 20:23 left to play.

Deryn Gersoff and Frazier both scored on free-position shots to give the Loggers a 9-7 advantage.

Puget Sound dominated draw controls, 16-5.

The Loggers remain in Forest Grove, Oregon, for a non-conference game against St. Mary's (Ind.), hosted by Pacific at 12 p.m.
