Box Score 2 McMINNVILLE, Oregon – The Puget Sound softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader at No. 4 Linfield Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats took the first game, 11-0 (5 inn.), and won the second game, 9-1 (5 inn.).
Freshman Kelsie Sullivan got the Loggers' lone hit in the first game when she led off the fourth inning with a double to centerfield. She moved to third base on a groundout by Marissa Oda, but the inning ended on Maddie Colombo's fly out.
Oda recorded her team-leading sixth RBI in the second game against Linfield. After reaching base on a fielder's choice, Kaitlyn Webster advanced into scoring position following a Linfield error. Abbi Wong drew a walk to load the bases with two outs, and Oda followed with a free pass of her own to force in a run.
The Northwest Conference series concludes with a doubleheader Sunday, March 3, at 12 p.m.
