Puget Sound drops two against George Fox

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound softball team lost twice at home against George Fox, 7-0 and 10-0, as part of a make-up doubleheader Thursday afternoon.

During the first game, Puget Sound was held hitless until the sixth inning. Jessica Shimoda hit a bloop single over the shortstop, and Maddie Colombo followed with a sharp single to centerfield. However, both runners were left on base.

During the second game, Puget Sound couldn't capitalize when it put a runner on second base. Mckenna Johnson drew a walk, stole second, and advanced to third base on a wild pitch with two outs. But the threat ended with a harmless pop-up to second base.

The Loggers are on the road this weekend for a four-game series at Willamette, April 13-14. Puget Sound's final home doubleheader of the season is April 20 against Pacific Lutheran.
