Seniors Shimoda and Johnson both hit doubles in 2019 finale

TACOMA, Washington – Seniors Mckenna Johnson and Jessica Shimoda played in their final games with the Puget Sound softball as the Loggers concluded their 2019 season with a couple of home games against Pacific Lutheran Saturday afternoon. The Lutes won both games, 10-4 and 11-1.

Johnson played in 108 games through her four years with the Loggers, while Shimoda played in 100.

Between the two games Saturday, Shimoda went 4-for-5 with a double, a walk, and a run scored. Johnson also smacked a double during her final collegiate doubleheader.

Maddie Colombo blasted a solo home run in the fourth inning of the second game, marking her team-best third homer of the season.
