Box Score TACOMA, WASHINGTON - Emily LaRiviere recorded a hat trick, but the Puget Sound lacrosse team lost to Willamette, 15-7, in Baker Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
LaRiviere scored the Loggers' (1-1,1-1) first and only goal of the first half in the eleventh minute to cut the Bearcats' (1-1,1-0) lead to 3-1. The Bearcats did not let up offensively and increased their lead to 9-1 by halftime.
In the second half, LaRiviere tacked on two more goals and Maggie Hatt, Jenna Kisner, Lauren Mastin, and Isabele Riser each scored a goal for the Loggers.
Olivia Almy tallied nine saves for Puget Sound.
Puget Sound continues its heavy early-season schedule against Marian (Wis.) on Monday, March 9, at 7 p.m. on Lower Baker Field.
