Despite their 2-10 record, the Loggers made notable progress in the second half of the season. In four its last six games, Puget Sound has shot at least 49-percent from the floor. Compare that to the first six games of the season, when the Loggers shot under 40-percent five times.
Junior big man Cal Hansen enters this weekend as the Northwest Conference's top rebounder (8.3) and third-leading scorer (14.1). He also ranks third in field-goal percentage (51.9-percent). Hansen has three double-doubles this season.
Freshman Paul Johnson ranks eighth in the NWC for scoring with 11.6 points per game. His 24 made 3-pointers is the second-best total in the conference, and his 36.4 3-point percentage ranks fifth among all NWC players with at least 50 attempts.
Jourdan Joseph is close to averaging double-digits in scoring. He's posting 9.1 points per game, but has really picked up the scoring lately. Through the last six games, Joseph is averaging 12.2 points per game and shooting 54.3-percent form the floor.
Multnomah – out of the NAIA's Cascade Collegiate Conference - is 0-10 this season. Zach Richardson is the team's leading scorer with 28.9 points per game, and Forrest Smith averages a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game. The Lions aren't shy from distance, as they hoist 43.1 3-point attempts per game. Richardson attempts 13.7 3-pointers per game, and he makes 5.0 on average.
