Box Score 2 NEWBERG, Oregon – Kelsie Sullivan struck out a career-high 13 batters to lead the Puget Sound softball team to a 5-1 win at George Fox Sunday afternoon.
She allowed only two hits and walked one in the complete-game victory. The Bruins' lone run was unearned. Sullivan's previous career-high for strikeouts in a game was 10, which she achieved against Willamette two years ago.

Puget Sound added a few insurance runs in the seventh inning. Mikayla Newman and Hana DeGuzman hit consecutive singles, and then Savanna Smith reached on an error to load the bases. Wong grounded out to score Newman, and Kaitlyn Webster delivered a two-run single to score both DeGuzman and Smith.
The Loggers lost the second game Sunday, 8-0.
Puget Sound returns home April 17-18 to host Pacific for four games.
