Riser scores twice, Almy makes 13 saves against Linfield

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound lacrosse team was limited to just one goal in the second half as the Loggers lost to Linfield, 20-6, in Baker Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Isabel Riser scored twice for the Loggers, giving her five goals for the season. Olivia Almy faced 33 shots, and she made a career-best 13 saves.

The Wildcats took an early 2-0 lead, but Riser and Laren Mastin scored back-to-back goals within a minute of each other, tying the game.

Riser's second goal of the game kept the Loggers within striking distance, 4-3, but the Wildcats netted three unanswered goals.

Hannah Bushing scored off an assist from Mastin with 10 minutes left in the first half, bringing the Loggers to within 7-4.

Bee Bridge accounted for the Loggers' only goal in the second half.

Puget Sound and Linfield square up again Sunday, April 18, at 1 p.m.
